Map Plugin Beta Version 0.98.1.

Plugin shows a Track Map in rFactor and is fully Configurable by Map.conf text file.

This Plugin was developed by Fazerbox (fazerbox@gmail.com)
starting from a great example find at http://www.rfactorlive.co.uk.


Requirements:
==========
A) DirectX End-User Runtimes (November 2008) from Microsoft:

B) .NET Framework 3.5. Download from Microsoft


IMPORTANT TO SOLVE COMMON ERRORS
==============================
A) Many people that have experienced crash or bugs have resolved it after having installed ".NET Framework 3.5"
I don't Know Why, I don't use it in Plugin, but seems Plugin needs .NET Framework 3.5.
If people Experience Bugs or Crash, please download and install
".NET Framework 3.5" from Microsoft site.


B) who has D3DDX9_40.DLL error ERROR, has NOT the latest DirectX installed. Please download it from Microsoft, see Above Requirements.

C) Who has FMODEX.DLL error, please copy fmodex.dll from rFactor/Plugins Folder and copy it in rFactor root Folder.
fmodex.dll is installed by Spotter Plugin.

D) About TVStyle integration, Please follow installation instructions Step by Step

Changes in Version 0.98.1
===============================
1) Inserted ALT + NUMPAD_0 to loop between different tracks with the same name like "Vallelunga" or "Hockenheim"
2) Corrected minor bug when Right Alignment used


Upgrade from 0.98
================================
- Copy d3d9.dll into rFactor folder
- Copy mapplugin.dll into rFactor/Plugins folder

Start Game and Enjoy!



Installation With TVStyle Plugin
=======================

1) Check your rFactor folder (thate one that contains rFactor.exe) for a file named "d3d9.dll"
And rename it as d3d9_tvstyle.dll

2) Delete Previous Map.dll from rFactor/Plugins directory (if you have already installed previous version of Map Plugin)

3) Extract MapPlugin.zip into Desktop

4) Copy d3d9.dll and MapPlugin.ini into the root rFactor Folder.

5) Copy contents of Directory Plugins (Map Folder + MapPlugin.dll into rFactor/Plugins Folder.

6) Edit MapPlugin.ini text file as follows:

[GENERAL]
#OriginalD3D9Dll=DEFAULT
OriginalD3D9Dll=d3d9_tvstyle.dll

7) Save file and exit

Start Game and Enjoy!


Installation Without TVStyle Plugin
============================

1) Check your root rFactor folder (the one that contains rFactor.exe) for a file named "d3d9.dll".
If you have this file make a backup of it.


2) Delete Previous Map.dll from rFactor/Plugins directory (if you have already installed previous version of Map Plugin)

3) Extract MapPlugin.zip into Desktop

4) Copy d3d9.dll and MapPlugin.ini into the root rFactor Folder.

5) Copy contents of Directory Plugins (Map Folder + MapPlugin.dll into rFactor/Plugins Folder.

6) Edit MapPlugin.ini text file as follow

[GENERAL]
OriginalD3D9Dll=DEFAULT
#OriginalD3D9Dll=d3d9_tvstyle.dll

7) Save file and exit

Start Game and Enjoy!




Configuration
=============
Modify the text file rFactor/Plugins/Map/Map.conf to change A lots of Plugin Parameters.

KEYS
=======
Numpad_0 : Change Map Mode: OFF, FIX, MOBILE and ROTATION
CTRL + NUMPAD_0 : Switch from IMAGES to DOTS mode and viceversa
NUMPAD_. : Zoom In MAP
CTRL + NUMPAD_. : Zoom Out MAP
ALT + NUMPAD_0 to loop between different tracks with the same name like "Vallelunga" or "Hockenheim"

You can change these keys from Map.conf file

How Extends numbers in CARS
======================
By default Map Plugin show numbers for only first 3 cars.
If you want show number in more cars you have to do a little simple job.

To have more Cars with numbers follow these steps.
Edit Map.conf and change Parameters 'ShowCarNumber'.
For Example edit as follow
ShowCarNumber = 5
Save and Exit.

Now MapPlugin looks for images in rFactor/Plugins/Map/Images folder
Map Plugin now needs:
images: Previous0.tga, Previous1.tga .... Previous5.tga.
images: Me0.tga, Me1.tga .... Me5.tga.
images: After0.tga, After1.tga .... After5.tga.

PreviousN.tga is used for cars before your.
MeN.tga is used for your car .
AfterN.tga is used for cars follow your.
Wher N is a number 0,1,2,3,4,5

Previous1.tga is used for car before your and is in first position.
Previous2.tga is used for car before your and is in second position.
....
Previous5.tga is used for car before your and is in fifth position.
Previous0.tga is used for car before your and is any other position.

Me1.tga is used for your car in first position.
Me2.tga is used for your car in first second.
....
Me5.tga is used for your car in fifth position.
Me0.tga is used for your car in any other position.


After1.tga is used for car follow you and is in first position (not used).
After2.tga is used for car follow you and is in second position.
....
After5.tga is used for car follow you and is in fifth position.
After0.tga is used for cars follow you and are in any other positions

Now you MUST create images:
Previous4.tga, Previous5.tga, Me4.tga, Me5.tga, After4.tga, , After5.tga

Remember to create images of 8x8 or 16x16 or 32x32 or 64x64 ecc..
Dimensions must be power of 2. This is required by DirectX, otherwise your image will be enlarged up to fit one of previous dimensions.

See "Images20" Package as sample. In that package images are 32x32 but the picture inside is 20x20 and centered.


Uninstall Instructions
======================

Delete d3d9.dll and MapPlugin.ini from the root rFactor Folder.
Delete MapPlugin.dll from PLugins directory
Remove Map Directory from Plugins directory
If installed with TVStyle Rename d3d9_tvstyle.dll as d3d9.dll
