TRACK INFO
Kart Circuit Amsterdam was a 1.1 km outdoor kart track located at the Theemsweg in Amsterdam. Sadly the track was closed by the local government in january 2008, which left kart racers and fans alike without an outdoor kart track in the Amsterdam area.
KCA was known to be a technical track, narrow, twisty, some challenging corners and a place where overtaking could be quite a mission.
THE RFACTOR VERSION
With the help of Google Earth I imported the track dimensions in Bob's Track Builder, in which I further layed out the track segments and terrain.
Using internet pictures and youtube videos as a guide, I used 3dSimEd to add/create/place trackside objects. Some of these objects are modified ISI stock models.
ACCURACY
I've never been to the real track, I am not a kart racer, nor a skilled 3d modeller so don't expect an highly accurate representation. Also a few aspects of the track have been changed in order to enhance FPS and/or gameplay, for instance the kerbs have been lowered as the AI were jumping them Dukes of Hazzard-style...
Anyway, I hope you enjoy racing this track.
