The aim of rFRacing, through the rFRacing plugin, is to improve the quality of on-line racing in rFactor. The plugin is being released in 3 phases to gradually add major new features while managing server and bandwidth capacity.

The V1.1 rFRacing Setup.exe installs an rFactor-plugin that watches your online racing. The plugin records any corner cutting; collisions with other cars or track-side objects, and any 'moments' where you lose control or run off the track.

Minor infringements are barely penalised, if you clip a cone or leave the track momentarily. If you hit another car hard, or cut a corner, or spin, you might notice your ratings change.

rFRacing rewards consistent performance - if you race well most of the time you will not be penalised badly for the occasional spin. If you consistently cut corners, hit other cars or lose control your ratings will suffer.

The rFIA say that you should always keep two wheels on the racing surface, inside the white line if it has been painted. The other two wheels may be on the grass or kerb and you will not be penalised.

The rFRacing Licence exists to improve your online racing experience. Leagues can separate race series into races for beginners, experienced racers and aliens offering progression into more challenging series. Racers can keep an eye on how their opponents are doing - how well they are performing and how safely and fairly they are racing.

Ultimately the rFRacing Mod Program will feed subscription revenue back to the modders that create the best content with the aim of driving top-quality cars and tracks for the rF community.

PS An Admin @ RSC has closed the threads I started for this plugin without notice as "Advertising a business is not permitted".

At the moment the plugin _is_ free, but if successful, later versions will certainly add features that force this to be run as a 'business' - there is no way that we can run the servers and bandwidth for on-line telemetry for free - so perhaps it is perfectly correct that they close the threads. A bit embarrassing, and leaves the plugin without a 'home' for discussion.

For now please post any bug reports to the comments here until we make arrangements for a forum to be hosted.
